Her house is on Vancouver island, which is like 3 hours drive from downtown Vancouver. She was definitely not staying at her house during the filming and it has been confirmed by many people who were there.
Gillian owns a house in Vancouver last year she mentioned she usually celebrate birthdays there hers and the kids. So she’s not renting anything when she goes to Vancouver. 10 years ago she said she will always keep a house in Vancouver. Gillian being Gillian she probably have moved Vancouver homes a lot of times but she owns a home there. She lived there when she did season 10.
