My headcanon is that Mulder knows he’s in love with Scully in the Pilot and just keeps trying to show her without knowing how to express his feelings because he’s just a cute dork. And Scully too fell in love with him while shaking his hand for the first time in the basement, but she only realized it in Memento Mori. She’s a bit slow when it comes to love.
Just finished rewatching Triangle where Mulder tells Scully « I love you » and she doesn’t take him seriously. Do you think Mulder realized he loved Scully in this episode or in another moment? At what moment do you think Scully realized she was in love with Mulder? (I am lying in bed late thinking about all the moments between them. So many to choose from!)
