My two cents on Gillian’s reaction to Sue’s comment. 1) she was there not for herself (i.e. not nominated) so was caught off guard because she wasn’t expecting to be mentioned 2) She has slammed papers for taking her one comment (you know the one) and running with it, assuming her sexuality – regardless of her personal life and previous relationships, I don’t think she likes to be put on the spot especially when it references (even jokingly) a relationship with another woman
You could be right, but still, I was expecting her to laugh at this joke. There had been time during panels when ladies thanked her for making them gay, and her reaction was totally different. I guess she was just caught off guard, but that was weird.
I would like to add that if it was David at her side today when sue did that joke Gillian would probably laugh and try to hide her face in David’s neck… But he wasn’t there so she just did that weird face at the weird person at her side. 😃
Her reaction was weird. I was expecting her to laugh, but she acted a bit shocked as if it was the first time a woman said she wanted to be in a relationship with her. That’s totally her kind of humor, usually. It was odd.
