Why are they always so hard on the moderators though? I feel for this guy when Gillian shouted « shut up » and when they completely ignored all of his questions. And then he was trying to help her auction off, but he gave up as she was paying him no attention at all.

And he now belongs to the long list of moderators who tried, and failed.

I agree with you, anon, they’re always pretty hard on the moderators, but I guess that’s because they always, ALWAYS, are the ones asking stupid questions. I’m sure David and Gillian are more interested in the actual fans’ questions rather than in guy calling their character Mully and Sculder.

But I felt for him too, I feel for all of them. There should be a reunion of the Gillovny Moderator Anonymous, once a year, hosted by Paley Guy.

GA: (looks confused, then recognition dawns) Yeah – for three nights.

DD: Only three nights?

GA: Yeah. (audience is squealing a little) (points at David) He wasn’t there.

DD: I’m sorry I brought it up.

GA: I, I stayed there…for free! I didn’t sublet – I never *paid* you. (laughter)

DD: I know, but I thought…

GA: You said – (gestures)

DD: That’s why I bring it up. (GA laughs)

Moderator: So with interest, that comes out to… (laughter)

DD: (to Gillian, inaudible)

GA: Yeah… Yeah, no, it was a weekend. (to David) But thanks.

DD: Sure.

GA: It was nice!
