Q: Who do you reckon would be the most fun that you’ve ever got to play?

David Duchovny: Fun as an actor doesn’t necessarily mean laughing on set and goofing around. Fun is what enlists the most of you when you go to work and how involved you can get and how deeply you can get into something. So playing something like Mulder to me is always a challenge.

The fun of it is to make this guy as real as possible in these situations and that’s … I would say that’s the same kind of challenge in Californication. It’s like an absurd situation. How do we make it as real and emotional as we can? So I think those were always the challenges that I’m looking for.

David Duchovny Australian podcasts

– X-Files star David Duchovny touring Australia… as a musician
“It just came from a deep dark place. I was going through a divorce and I had more time on my hands than I was used to having because I was away from my kids. I was just going little nuts.“

– David Duchovny on Fitzy & Wippa on Nova 96.9
“The ten we’re doing now I think are even better than some of the ones we did way in the past. If you like it you like it, if you don’t, there are plenty of other options.”

– David Duchovny on Chrissie, Sam & Brown on Acast
“Garry became probably my best friend that I made as an adult in this life. Losing Garry year and a half ago is still something I think about almost daily. I have pictures of him in my house, I think about him whenever anything momentos happen ‘cause he was such a wise and wonderful person. I wanna check in with him.”

– David Duchovny From The X-Files on Mel and Trav in the Morning
“There is something about going to work and trying to make people laugh that is kind of wonderful.”

– David Duchovny on Jonesy & Amanda
“I did grow up holding a guitar. Of course, I never played it.”

– David Duchovny speaks with Desiree Savage from the Illawarra Mercury
“Fun as an actor doesn’t necessarily mean laughing on set and goofing around. Fun is what enlists the most of you to when you go to work and how involved you can get and how deeply you can get into something. Playing something like Mulder, the challenge, the fun of it is to make this guy as real as possible in these situations.”

David thinks season 11 is going to be really good (on Fitzy & Wippa podcast, 11/21/17):

“The ten we’re doing now I think are even better than some of the ones we did way in the past.”

“I saw the first four episodes last night, as a matter of fact, and they’re really, really good. And I’m not an easy sell.”

“I had my son with me. I showed him a few scenes actually from a funny one and he was laughing…”

I know tonight is all about GA. But tomorrow there will be this interview with DD with an Australien radio station. I couldn‘t find an airing time. Do you know a time? I mean, morning in Europe is already evening in Australia… And, before the interview a celeb can say which questions he will answer and which he won’t answer, but sometimes the DJs in radio-interviews are a bit cheeky – do you expect something about M?

Here’s the link to listen to the show live : https://www.nova969.com.au/
It starts at 8pm in European time (7pm in UK time) and lasts 3 hours so David’s interview could be anytime.
I expect only questions about his music, his tour in Australia and New Zealand and probably about XF too, but that’s it. They will upload the podcast after the show on this same website, so it should be available tonight.
