I new here so I’m sorry for my question.. it’s no a shade at all. I started to watch the x-files last month and when I saw Gillian’s acting I thought that she must be huge in the industry and I why didn’t know her before. But then I find out that she didn’t do any major role (I didn’t watch the fall or american gods yet) after the x-files and I wonder why, it’s because she struggle to find good jobs after the x-files or was her choice stay out of this and do only a few movies and nothing too big

She’s a great actress, and I think her career would have been way bigger if she didn’t chose to leave LA for London. Besides xf, her major roles were in British series or movies, so with less international exposure. I think she choses projects with her heart, because the subjects interest her, rather than because they’re big. She even refused a part in Game of Thrones and Downtown Abbey, which would have made her a bigger name in Hollywood for sure.

So somehow, I think it’s a choice, but on the other hand, she has been vocal about wanting an Oscar, and for that, she needs to be cast on bigger movies for bigger roles. I think there’s a duality in her personality. Part of her wants to work on particular and wisely chosen projects, and part of her wants to be a A-list actress. It’s not too late, but she needs to make different choices, though.

That said, you absolutely need to watch The Fall. It’s brilliant, Jamie Dornan is incredible, and Gillian’s talent will leave you speechless.

This is blowing my mind. I’m looking at all these msr gifs on my dash and I’ve never really noticed GIllian as original series scully looks like she is present day Gillian’s daughter. I don’t mean Piper. I just mean they just look so different! Present day Gillian looks stunning (in my opinion more so than the 90s/00s) but it still stuns me how different they look!

Yes, she has changed a lot in 20 years. She was hot back then, but a different kind of hot than she is now. I agree with you, she aged beautifully and looks more stunning now!

was gillian ever listed to appear at that venue in bar harbour? because i don’t remember seeing her name on there even when it was announced. also, if gillian is still in london as of this week (& she has to be because she’s appearing at letters live tomorrow) when is she going to shoot her role in ‘the spy who dumped me’? she can’t have filmed it already because there have been sightings of her in london every week since it started filming.

She was listed on the website of the venue for sure, but now she’s only listed on Simon & Schuster, and I doubt they update this section very often, so we’ll have to wait and see if she attends or not, but it’s unlikely.

It’s possible she has filmed her scenes already and we don’t know about it, or she will in the next two or three weeks. I just hope she’ll be in Vancouver in August 8th, and will stay there for the next 5 months!

So far G has been very private and even journalists (at least most of them)respected that and tried to ask her not too personal q’s… but now she has been publicly exposed-do u think that will change journalists’ attitude towards her in interviews? Like c’mon she doesn’t respect her privacy why should we?

I don’t think so. I think her publicist might make it clear with the journalists to not go there, and they’ll follow the instructions. I don’t think she will ever publicly address anything about what happened, or about her personal life in general. Remember, she wants to keep her private life private…

gillian is scheduled to appear at letters live this friday in london. She’s still listed on simon & schuster’s website to appear in maine with jennifer in late july as well, and another appearance has been added. don’t know why you had the impression she’d cancelled.

I went to the Candice Luk website yesterday after I saw those other side people hooting like owlsb and saying that Gillian’s bracelet came from there. IT DIDN’T. Go look at the bracelet on Candice’s page. Isn’t even the same size. The links look similar but I remember someone on here posted a web link. Ilove-gillian I think? I cant remember. It was an LA designer. So it could still be from David. It’s not from Candice.

gillian probably cancelled her appearance in maine because she’ll be filming that kate mckinnon spy movie. she might not be on set straight away for season 11. when iwtb started filming, she joined 3 weeks into the shoot yet it didn’t affect the amount of screen time she had.

It’s different for a series than for a movie though. Usually, they shoot one episode a week. So if she misses the first three weeks, it means she won’t be in the first three episodes. Or barely.
It’s possible that she has filmed her scenes already for this movie. I don’t think her role is big, and she has kinda disappeared for a week or so. Maybe she was in Hungary in the beginning of July.

Not sure why I send this, as I’m pretty sure you have no interest in these facts, but: GA met Jen Nadel about a decade ago, when they were involved in an environmental organization called WeCAN. This organization was founded by many women, including JN, Rebecca Frayn, and PM’s ex, Lila. PM is the godfather of Frayn’s son. So, GA, JN, and PM have been in the same friend group for many years. It’s pretty unlikely that JN has lost respect for GA for starting to date a guy she’s known a decade.
