But isn’t OJ actually saying that they are not together in real life? I don’t understand his words. I probably would have understood them 5 years ago because back then they would have made sense… could you please help me? Thanks!

One of Jones’s current favorite nerd causes: He doesn’t just casually think that “X-Files” stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny should be a couple. He regularly Tweets his support for #gillovny, and has strong opinions about why the two actors should just give it up and settle down together.

“It’s going to happen,” Jones said. “They don’t understand what’s going on. David just finished touring, he and Tea [Leoni] are no longer together — which is horrible, I love Tea. They have beautiful kids. But Gillian’s beautiful, she’s sort of amazing — I don’t really understand what the problem is.”

In real life, Jones and Duchovny are friends (they co-starred in the 2000 comedy “Evolution,” and Duchovny cast him in his 2004 coming-of-age drama “House of D”) and Anderson is one of Jones’s co-stars in “Gods,” though the two of them were never on set together.  “I was really upset about it at the time, I’ve calmed myself down a bit,” Jones said.

I thought you might be able to help me? I have seen the sentence; « A whole lot of history » on a couple of pictures of David and Gillian and a playlist. Is that something one of the two has said in some context? Or is it a malicious sentence a fan has placed on the pictures, playlist and so on? (Hopefully it’s not only one of One Directions song titles :D )

Hey! I didn’t see the post you’re talking about and couldn’t find it. I don’t know about the playlist. I know someone made a Gillovny playlist on Spotify once, and it was a good one. About the quote, I’ve never heard that one. I recall David saying “we have history”, but I’ve never heard “A whole lof of history”, though. 🙂

Just wanted to point at something.If you look at the San Diego CC, the way G and D behave in certain situations, you cannot « play » that. I think its their natural behavior towards each other. Also the Kimmel Interview. They touch each other so natural, hold each others hands for brief moments like they would do in private

Yes, I agree. I don’t think Gillian and David “play” their behavior in any occasion. That’s just the way they are.
David is by nature quite handsy with people. When you watch his interviews, he’s always touching even petting interviewers, he never hesitates to hug or shake hands when you meet him. So it’s not really surprising he acts like that with Gillian who he knows for two decades.
On the other hand, we know Gillian isn’t comfortable with touching or even being physically too close to others. But she’s very different around David. She always searches for his contact, she touches him all the time and it seems like they have their own body language in their own bubble, and it looks totally natural. Always.
The best example that is coming to my mind is her last interview on Jonathan Ross. She was sitting next to a dude who grabbed her neck at some point. You could feel her discomfort and annoyance the second he reached for her. She froze and her whole body tensed. Compare that to when David grabs her neck during the Cutting Room. You have everything there.

So why do you think Gillian doesn’t play the Gillovny game anymore? What’s your explanation for it other than the fact that she’s dating someone else and thinks it would be inappropriate?

The Gillovny game, as you call it, has never been for them. It’s always for us. She was trying to do something else lately. She’s been focused on charities, then on her book, so it’s understandable that it could have been taken the wrong way to squeeze a tweet about the size of David’s manhood in between a tweet about child trafficking and another about feminism.
But I’m really confident the “Gillovny game” will start again in a few weeks, days even.
It doesn’t mean she hasn’t played some Gillovny games with David in private.

Some people are saying that we’re being hard trolled and that it’s not funny because « everyone knows » Gillian isn’t with David and now we’re being made fun of. I saw it said when Orlando tweeted & now I’m seeing people repeat it with BF. Do you think they would actually troll us? It makes no sense to me but what do I know. I guess I just want reassurance that BF and OJ aren’t making fun of us and saying « nyah nyah, Gilligan is totally a thing and we want to needle you with Gillovny never to be. »

I think I know the post you’re referring to, but I took it in a different way, as in it’s not funny because we know we’re being trolled. Which is kinda true. But I also think we’re being genuinely trolled and with no harm by Orlando Jones. He’s a fan, he’s a shipper, and to me, he’s part of the fandom like everyone else except that he’s famous. If he was a Gorgan, we would know it by now, and most of all, the actual Gorgans wouldn’t treat him to disrespectfully.
So don’t worry, it’s not that kind of troll, yes we know we’re are trolled out, but I’d rather a good silly tweet of Orlando Jones than some of the trolls floading my inbox with pettiness and irony.

How come a man like DD – very rich, highly intelligent, astonishing sexy, handsome, gentle and kind – is still single after so many years from his divorce? And he’s so happy, so in peace with himself. Must be thousands of young women at his feel. But he’s always by himself or with his kids or friends. He even went with is sister to see GA. The only explanation is that he’s already taken. And we can imagine who is the lucky girl. 😚😙😙

He could have the woman he wants. He’s got money, fame, success. It would be easier if he just picked up one of those wannabe actress that usually throw themselves at him. But he wants her. Specifically her. For a very long time. Even when he was fighting against this feeling, this eagerness, this hungry… even when he was with someone else… his mind – and his body at his own volition – had wanted her. PART1

Their connection has been survived through all those terrible years and somehow it has been got even stronger. But she has her life, her commitment, her things to do… she can’t be with him on public, not without ruining their little secret. This secretiveness is what make this awkward relationship working. It wasn’t a lie. They’re not dating each other. they don’t need it. They are just together, at some level. Sometimes physically, sometimes in their minds. 

Avoiding too much exposure had allowed them to treasure their moments. It’s hard to be apart but their privacy is worth it. That’s why, one more time, he’s alone in a very special event, in a very unique moment in his career as a musician. He wanders around, glass of wine in his hand, taking photos with fans, shaking a thousand of hands and making small talking with other people he just met. However his minds is somewhere else, somewhere across the Atlantic. 

He sighs deeply remembering her. Suddenly he fells a vibration on his right pocket. Someone across the ocean is thinking about him too. He smiles while goes to another handshake.
