Hi! I wanted to ask how did happen that you were in the audience? Did they sell tickets for the filming? Were there a lot of people? Did DD and GA talk to the viewers after the filming was finished or sign autographs?

I was very lucky that my father was visiting his childhood friend in California at the time they were filming this episode. My mom had one of those giant Nokia cell phones and my best friend, who was also obsessed with The X-Files, saw a post on a forum about signs near a baseball field. She called my mom’s giant ass phone (that was only for emergencies) and told me it was near where I was so I begged my parents to take me but they thought I was bat shit crazy. And my dad said it was rude to leave. Luckily for me, my Dad’s friend’s son John offered to take me.

There were only like 20 or 30 people there at the most. DD was all over the place, he walked through the group I was standing in and put his hand on my shoulder (best moment ever) but I don’t remember him signing anything. Gillian did come out and sign but I wasn’t on her side of the field and didn’t want to give up my spot. We weren’t allowed allowed to take pictures, understandably.

Hi campaign! Great to have you back, I missed you! My question is, how did Gillian and David interact between the takes? Did they talk to each other? Or was Gillian surrounded by people fixing her frizzy hair?

Honestly, it was 1999 (the dark ages) so I was expecting a somewhat frigid set experience between the two of them. It was actually anything but! At some point, Gillian actually called David over and lifted her shirt up to show him something on her stomach and he leaned down, checked it out and they laughed. They were very friendly with one another, and Gillian was laughing very loudly when David decided to hump her on that baseball field. 

10/10 would watch again

Question for campaignofmisinformation: Are you ever going to come back on Tumblr? We miss you! Also, was it you who had the second party story after ISYL? It’s gone from your blog too and JHH brought it up recently so I wanted to ask if you could tell us more!

No, I will not be returning to Tumblr. But, I do miss and love you all very much!  However, if you send me questions to JHH’s inbox, I’ll answer them 🙂

About the party… yes, it was me.  A friend of mine from high school saw DD/GA at a party in NYC in October 2013 and thought they were a couple. When I broke the story on Tumblr, I received a lot of nasty backlash so I’m not going to tell it again.

Please tell us more about the baseball scene! Did David and Gillian really dry humped?

Yes, the dry humping is real. And on tape! JHH let me read some links from two other folks that were there who have stories almost identical to mine, and one of them I’ve spoken to on tumblr! It was a cold, unreal evening. 14 year old me actually threw up when it was all over out of sheer nerves. 

The take away from this story really is that David called rolling BEFORE the fuckery so somewhere out there the footage exists, with Gillian’s loud laughter and David’s from behind humping, while dressed as Mulder and Scully and I WANT IT.

hey justholdinghands, can you please enlighten me about the gillovny rumors « the parties story, the sex in the limo in 1997 rumor (i don’t get it) and the baseball scene filming story, because the « keep reading » link doesn’t work anymore, if you search for the baseball scene story. Please.

I’ve already tried to re-tell the baseball scene story a few posts below 🙂

The party story was told by a very famous and popular blog that was named “I’ll show you later”. Sadly, they ended up deactivating and their post is gone, I didn’t even manage to find it on my own blog. To sum it up, I think it happened in 2013, the girls who ran this blog knew someone who ended up at a party where David and Gillian were too. This person legit thought they were a couple as they behaved like one, arriving and leaving together, kissing and calling each other pet names. 
If that matters, I believe in this story and I have all the reasons the believe that these girls were legit.

There were a second party story, that was basically the same thing, from another party, around the same period. It’s gone too, but the content was basically identical as the first one.

Now that I think about it, there’s also this fan who saw David going to Gillian’s dressing room during Streetcar in NY and they never saw him going out.

The limo story is just the kind of thing that are told from Gillovny generation to Gillovny generation. It has never been written, and it has no real basis, except that apparently , the guy who bought Gillian’s dress after she auctioned it off, said there were suspicious stains on it. I have no idea who this guy is or even if he really exists, so you can do whatever pleases you with this story 😀

I’m sure there’s many more stories that I can’t remember right now, but that’s a good start!

Hi jhh, how are you? I’m sorry to bother, but i’m new in this xfiles/gillovny fandom. About the baseball episode, i was looking And there is a publication written by campaignof… But it is actually gone. Can you Tell me please What was all that about? Hope you are having a good night!

Yes, sadly her blog got deleted and most of her posts were under the cut so you can’t read them anymore. Maybe one night, I’ll get her drunk enough so she gets the motivation to write it again!

All in all, she was invited to visit the set of txf when she was a young girl and that was when they were filming the baseball scene from The Unatural. Tea was on set, along with Gillian and David. Apparently Gillian and David were all giggly and touchy touchy while filming this scene. At some point, Gillian left her shirt to show him her C-section scar and David touched it and they laughed. I hope I remember correctly, I promise I’ll try to get more details because my memory sucks and I wonder if there wasn’t something about a fight between David and Gillian in front of Téa or something, but she’s in bed now, so it’ll have to wait 😉
