Oh it’s so much more than that. To me, the whole Gillovny concept is held in these little 5 seconds of “I love you.” It shows not only their love for each other, but also how much they care about their privacy and want to keep whatever exists between them behind close doors.
David immediately noticing that they were caught and Gillian reacting so vividly to that is the answer to all the questions everybody has been asking in the past 25 years. If you’ve been wondering if they see each other some times, if they do have breakfast together or just if they’re close, the answer is they are and they do but they don’t want you to know and if you point a camera on them in one of these intimate moments they share, they will stop whatever they’re doing and you will never know what really happened. Even on a filming set. That speaks volume!

I don’t know anon. This doesn’t change my beliefs nor delete whatever happened in the past few years but it’s still beautiful to watch and it makes me beyond happy to see that these two will always love and cherish and respect each other against all odds. I guess it also raises my hopes higher for a bright future and for Gillian and David to get back together as a real couple.
