JHH, I just want to say that I miss Gillovny so much! ;-( I know you get asked that a lot of times but do you really believe they fall in love again? Are you 100% confident? If they really do I hope so much it will last forever because I honestly feel they are made for each other and all I’ve ever wished for them is that they finally realise it.

There’s one sure thing: Gillian and David are each other end game. The sooner they realize it, the better, though.

I’m new to the fandom and from all the blogs I’ve seen it seems that everyone agrees that at a point D&G were together. What is your opinion on when and why they ended whatever they had? Thanks in advance I really enjoy all your post😊

Thanks and welcome, anon! I do believe they were together since at least 2012, maybe a little before that and that things got more serious around 2013. And I think something went down last summer because it seemed like they spent the summer together, then, Gillian did quite a few cons and the Chicago Comic Con and something felt odd. Then in October, PM appeared into the frame. 

Why is a good question, though, and I really have no answer. It could be a million things! My thought is that one of them wanted to go public and the other one refused and one of them got tired of waiting and gave up. Which one is it, I’m mixed on this, but this is my theory, certainly biased by the fact that I wanted and still want them to come out, but that’s all I can see. 

I have a theory that one of the cockblocks in Gillovny’s relationship is The X Files itself. They seemed fully together until the rumours of S11 started (recall D’s bday tweet to G in 2016). IMO she was pressured to do it, possibly gave up other opportunities (personal and professional) for this franchise, and will continue to do so until Fox pulls the plug. D&G would never come out as long as X Files is still a thing.. it’s not either of their styles.

I think they would never come out until XF is happening, I agree with that. But I don’t think it has any impact on the status of their relationship, or at least any negative impact. She doesn’t have to do anything she doesn’t want to even if Fox puts pressure on her. Actually, I really don’t think they’re putting pressure on her, I think they’re just adding more zeros to her contract until she says yes. If that’s what you call pressure, I wanna be pressured! 
To me, XF and Gillovny are two different things well separated, and at maximum, XF is just their excuse to spend months of togetherness. The rest of their relationship isn’t connected to the show at all. If it’s working, it’s working with or without the show and if it’s not working anymore, it’s because something went down between them.

I listened to the Roundhouse Radio interview with David again and he said that the guys Pat and Colin helped him write all the lyrics, and that on one of the songs he didn’t write anything he just sings it. He said they’re all new songs and just composed and the lyrics aren’t totally his (he also said they’re not from poems). So I guess we won’t be able to look for Gillovny clues because we won’t know what part David wrote and what part the other dudes wrote? :/

It’ll be hard to say and subject to interpretation as usual, but I think David’s got helped on the technical side of writing lyrics, not the content nor the subject. He knows he isn’t properly a singer so I think lyrics matter to him and I believe what interests him in the process of being a musician is telling stories that matter to him. So I’m sure there will be a lot of him, his thoughts and his soul in those new songs.

this is a bit too much I know, but is a lazy day at work, I just saw David instagram, he has 152 photos, you know what I did? yes I counted how many woman appear in his instgram, he has 8 photos with other woman besides GA, friends or work (not couting family obviously) Gillians appers in 20 photos… 20, if I didnt knew who DD is I would swear GA is his Girlfriend hahaha (sorry my english)
