I’m new here too (looks like there’s a lot of us here!) and I just read about the dark days. I’m more a fan of David so I wanted to ask what do you think was in his mind at the time? Was he annoyed by G? Did she piss him off? But if she did, then why all the sexual tension between them?

Hi anon! Welcome in the fandom! There’s quite a bunch of new fans and it really is a blessing. This fandom needs fresh blood!

I can explain my vision of David and Gillovny in general in the olden days, but I think everyone has their own interpretation of what could have happened. The way I see that is like when you’re in high school, and there this person you see everyday sitting two rows in front of you and everything this person does annoy the shit out of you. The way she chews her gum, taps her pen on the desk, raises her hand to say stupid things. You hate everything. But you also can’t stop thinking about her. She obsesses you and you hate yourself for being obsessed. You want it to stop but you also know if she would stop showing up in class one day, you would feel devastated and give the moon to see her chewing her gum loudly again.
That’s how I imagine both David and Gillian felt about each other.
A hurtful mix of love and resentment.

And about the sexual tension and to make it more simple and dirty, I imagine Gillian riding him mercilessly and angrily and slamming the door of his trailer as soon as she was done leaving him hanging with his right hand and
David wanting to shut her up every time she spoke but with his dick in her mouth.

Hi JHH! In your head canon, where does Rodney Rowland fit in to the Gillovny timeline? Do you think this happened before, after, in between her and DD? Thanks!!!

To me it definitely happened after the first developments of Gillovny. David got married and right after, Gillian and Rodney started dating. If you read their interviews about each other at the time, and about each other’s partners, you can feel jealousy and frustration on both sides. Gillian never got over not being invited to his wedding and not knowing about he and Téa and David would make fun of any guy dating her anyway. In my mind, Rodney was kind of a rebound. A tall hot cute rebound with an 8-pack.

Hey anon! I have so many! The 1997 Golden Globes will always be special in my Gillovny heart. The “for me” moment during Paley, their gazing in the end, the hand holding at NYCC, their awkward hug during IBG… Kimmel was something too. I watched it live, which means in the middle of the night for me, and it was kind of an experience… I wasn’t expecting THAT, and when it was over, I wasn’t sure what just happened exactly. I must have watched it a hundred times after!
But for the last two years, every time someone asks me what’s my favorite Gillovny moment, there’s always this tweet spinning in my head.

To me, it’s the most sincere and heartfelt tweet she ever done to him. I think she meant it, she missed him for real after spending so many months together and she didn’t care about the world the know about it. It makes me melt every time I think about it. 

1/2 I’ve stopped caring if G goes to the emmys with 🐢coz we all know she’s going to Davids gig in Vancouver. Shes going to wear something black and sexy, surprise him on stage with an amazing kiss that leaves him in a dizzy sense of arousal the rest of the night. She’s going to wait in his dressing room for him, kiss him with so much force he’s knocked off his feet. He’ll shove her Against the dressing room table, lift her dress and fuck her fast and hard from behind. She will look him straight

I was thinking, Gillian and David are seeing each other every day so maybe at the NYCC they will keep their hands away from each other, they will not have that thirst for each other like the other times. I do not know, I may be wrong and I want to be wrong because I want to see gillovny in their wild.

Nah don’t worry about that! They were working long hours together when they decided to goof around and shove their tongues in each other’s mouths to amuse the crew. And they were supposed to hate each other. NYCC is the new Gillovnycon for sure!

The thirst is always there. 

ok, I’ll be the one to say it. You know what’s crazy about the whole Katie Holmes/Jamie Foxx 4-year romance that revealed itself over this past weekend? Maybe that it was an OPEN secret in Hollywood. Or that there had to be collusion between MANY different people (agents, lawyers, PR folks, etc.) to keep that it true « secret » from the public for a long time. And that two people snuck around for YEARS without any real public acknowledgement, including pictures together. Crazy, huh?

Yeah… it just shows that it’s possible to hide what you want in Hollywood and that the lack of photographic proof don’t mean it’s not happening. Although, for Katie Holmes and Jamie Fox, everyone knew…
