2 of 2 I don’t think they have ever really been totally apart since they first met. But for whatever reason they never committed to each other, but just can’t stay away from each other. I think if they had actually broken up they couldn’t work together. Their relationship is very complicated imo. A nonexclusive relationship is hard to understand but if it works for them fine. And as far as pm is concerned …he means nothing.

I’m sorry, I didn’t get the first part of your message, but I guess this one is enough to understand your point, which I’m going to disagree with.

A nonexclusive relationship between them has never worked in my book. I think it could have been a thing back then, when they kinda both were a mess and young and full of resentment and frustration they may have fucked out. But I believe in the last decade, things have settled down, they’ve matured, and considering their history, the deep feelings they have for each other and the mutual love and respect, and I don’t think it could still be a thing. One always ends up hurt in that kind of relationship, so I think it would show. Plus, they have kids who are old enough to understand these things, and because they’re friends and also co-workers, it would be impossible for them to hide such a relationship from their children for so long. Finally, a nonexclusive relationship would mean that their respective partners would also have to bare with this agreement. I’m not going to talk about their previous partners/spouses, but PM doesn’t look like the kind of man who is ready to share. 

The more we see of David and Gillian (her selfies, his Q&A) the more I’m sure either they were never together in the first place and were PRing all over the place to get more attention for themselves, or they ARE together and PM was some sort of strange showmance that was meant to do something (who the fuck knows what). Those are the only two choices. Because there’s no way two people who were deeply involved could break up and be THIS fine. NO FUCKING WAY. Anyone disagreeing? Fight me.

And I’d still go with the third solution, which is they were together and they no longer are for some reasons. I think there’s a big difference between what we see of them, what they agree to show us and what they really are, and that is worth for all their public appearances. I don’t know how you can understand their relationship with two birthday tweets, the picture of a cake and two selfie of only one of them, but I can’t.

Didn’t one of the Vancouver girls say David tried to call for Nelson and he didn’t come and Gillian said that he knew his name? I’m sorry but if I could call and run up to Nelson or Gillian I would pick Gillian all times. Yet, David reached out to Nelson and wanted to play with him even when Gillian just wanted to get in the car and get home. Clearly Nelson had a grip on David’s heart so even as a dog person you get the feeling he had an extra eye in the pupper. Is that Nelson after Mandela btw?

Okay, I’ll say what no one else wants to say. I think David got Nelson as a gift for Gillian and the kids. Knowing she wanted a dog, he probably visited the shelter and fell in love with Nelson, so he thought of Gillian and her kids. Nelson appeared during filming so I think David was the dog-gifter to Gillian. There’s no reason NOT to think that or assume that. :) I know that isn’t a popular opinion but it’s what I think, fwiw.

I’m not going to disagree, anon. This is my headcanon too, and actually, no one can make me think differently about that!

If Nelson is from a rescue place in America and David is a dog person who got his dog from a shelter is it too far away to think David helped get Nelson in touch with Gillian and she liked him enough to make him part of her family? At the Nerdist she spoke about Googling ‘most low maintencence dog on the planet’ and French Bulldog came up. She was so intent on getting a lazy Frenchie she even asked if the female producer wanted to sell her dog to Gillian. In NYC a shelter help celebs get dogs.

Well… Nelson is a rescue dog, I have no doubt about that. And she got it while filming, no doubt about that either. So… that’s a possibility I don’t exclude, yes. 🙂

But why is it such a big deal that it’s Brick? It’s not like she is in London or somewhere where David’s presence would be a surprise. We know they’re filming, in Vancouver, we know they are both on set, it’s not a holiday or a day off, we know it’s a cake from the crew on the crafts table, why is it surprising that David’s dog would be near food?

Don’t rain on my parade, anon! I’m just happy they did celebrate their birthday together and I find it cute. It didn’t happen for season 10 and with the lack of interactions of them both lately, it just feels comforting to know they’re not only there to work but to enjoy some togetherness, even if it’s around other people. 

I feel they really fuck us over all the time. If it hadn’t been for Brickster paw sticking out next to Gillian we wouldn’t even know they celebrated their birthdays together.

It wasn’t on purpose, though, so I don’t think we can say they fuck with us this time. It’s just a happy coincidence that we could notice Brick in the corner. I’m pretty sure Gillian didn’t think we would analyse a paw and the shape of another cake on her pic. So this time, we fucked with them! *insert evil laugh*

I don’t know if there’s a lot of RPF outside of AO3, I usually read them there, so if you’ve read everything there, you’ve probably read most of them. So happy she liked our dark chocolate cake ! » She ordered her own cake, had them write Happy Birthday Gillian, delivered it to set and asked someone to set up paper plates so she David and the crew could enjoy the cake together to celebrate her birthday. This is so cute! Of course she chose dark chocolate. And Brick’s under the table hoping someone would drop their cake by him. So much purity in one picture😭😭

I’m quite sure she didn’t order her own cake and asked herself to set up plates, but other than that, yes, it’s cute, and I’m really happy they celebrated her birthday together. Actually, I think they celebrated both of their birthdays together, because I see another cake on the picture that is probably David’s. And Brick is the purest dog ever!
