To be dramatic though, my favorite part of that is David saying that was caught on tape because, hello we don’t see a fraction of their friendship or what have you and thanks for the reminder and also it underlines the fact that that was a private moment for them uGHHhhhh but I’m so glad it was caught on tape thanks camera person i love YOU!

Like, to me…a con with just David is maybe a 2. A con with just Gillian is maybe a 3. A con with David AND Gillian is like a 25. 

It has nothing to do with Gillovny or anything like that. I just…my ONLY interest in XF is Mulder and Scully/David and Gillian. I have zero interest in Mitch. I have negative interest in WBD. Even having Mitch or WBD at a David and Gillian event would take my interest from a 25 to like, a 15. Because they would dilute the David/Gillian time. Or god forbid Chris Carter, who just sucks the fun and joy out of everything he touches and gave me a legitimate XF-related crisis of faith the last time he did a con (NYCC). 

If Gillian does some other con but not with David, I’m not going to go out of my way to go. It’s not that I don’t like Gillian. I love her. But seeing her at a con by herself, answering the same questions she’s always asked, is not exciting to me. David and Gillian interacting and talking about the season together is where the interest is for me. So if Gillian does more North American cons, great, and I’m sure that’s a lot of fun for some people (and I did see her once at a con and had a great time), but it’s not REMOTELY in the same league. 

And I don’t even like David much these days. But he’s still Mulder. And I was so looking forward to a little capper on the season with the two of them, and a bunch of us. Oh well.
