• That thing where he deletes and re-does his tweets until they’re perfect. As if we didn’t see each one.
• That his Instagram profile picture is still an X-Files promo photo. Sentimentallity or an oversight? Doesn’t really matter.
• The way he creates what he wants to, whether it’s in a medium that he “should” or “shouldn’t” be working in. (He should.)
• The excitement he has for what he creates.
• His deep appreciation of his fans’ appreciation.
• That brain.
• “Every act of creation is a rebellion against the way things are.”
• And pretty much all the other words that come from him, spoken or written.
• His vegan shoes and all their interesting colors.
• That heart.
• That he cares about both the great and the small: from animals to humans, and the environment that encompasses it all.
• The way that he’s increasingly using his Twitter to show his sincere support for the aforementioned and to show where he stands on what’s going on, despite his Twitter fear (so relatable).
• That we’re a month into the year and 2017 David Duchovny is already my favorite David Duchovny.
