Didn’t one of the Vancouver girls say David tried to call for Nelson and he didn’t come and Gillian said that he knew his name? I’m sorry but if I could call and run up to Nelson or Gillian I would pick Gillian all times. Yet, David reached out to Nelson and wanted to play with him even when Gillian just wanted to get in the car and get home. Clearly Nelson had a grip on David’s heart so even as a dog person you get the feeling he had an extra eye in the pupper. Is that Nelson after Mandela btw?

Okay, I’ll say what no one else wants to say. I think David got Nelson as a gift for Gillian and the kids. Knowing she wanted a dog, he probably visited the shelter and fell in love with Nelson, so he thought of Gillian and her kids. Nelson appeared during filming so I think David was the dog-gifter to Gillian. There’s no reason NOT to think that or assume that. :) I know that isn’t a popular opinion but it’s what I think, fwiw.

I’m not going to disagree, anon. This is my headcanon too, and actually, no one can make me think differently about that!

Wait, question. When did GA ever say that Piper got bit by a dog on the lip? Also, who gives a shit if her dog is a rescue or not, Nelson is quirky and cute, Brick looks like the fluffiest fuzzy around, and they’re both adorable dogs who belong to equally adorable humans.

I’m not totally sure, but I believe it was on the Nerdist Podcast, so that could be this one in January 2015, but it’s too long for me to check it now, and also I’m too lazy 😀 I hope someone can confirm. I’m just sure it was on a podcast, tbh. 

If Nelson is from a rescue place in America and David is a dog person who got his dog from a shelter is it too far away to think David helped get Nelson in touch with Gillian and she liked him enough to make him part of her family? At the Nerdist she spoke about Googling ‘most low maintencence dog on the planet’ and French Bulldog came up. She was so intent on getting a lazy Frenchie she even asked if the female producer wanted to sell her dog to Gillian. In NYC a shelter help celebs get dogs.

Well… Nelson is a rescue dog, I have no doubt about that. And she got it while filming, no doubt about that either. So… that’s a possibility I don’t exclude, yes. 🙂
