I’m still in denial. But when I logically tell myself to look at evidence so I can move on, I see almost no « evidence ». So I’m stuck. I showed my best friend the pics and video. She’s not in any fandom and not invested in G or Gillovny. She said she’s seen people happier for seats at a restaurant than what G looked like next to PM. She watched the video and said she thought PM was mean and demanding and G was uncomfortable. Fwiw, she said she doesn’t think GPM is a thing (based on HB or GG).

I might still be in denial too, but I don’t see evidence either. He didn’t kiss her, but he had no problem to show his affection to Claire when she won. There’s not a single pic where Gillian smiles around him, or even look at him. He hold her hand, or tried to hold her hand to lead her in car? Okay, that happened, but it’s not enough of an evidence for me either.

Have you ever thought that this might be some sort of mutual arrangement between GA and PM? She « appears » to be his girlfriend for the publicity (to promote the crown etc) and its also a cover up for her and DD’s actual relationship? Call me a cynic but she doesn’t appear genuinely comfortable round PM. Am I reaching here?

Pretty much every far fetched explanation crossed my mind, anon, but that one is reaching 🙂 I don’t think any man or woman would deliberately allow their girlfriend or boyfriend to play a showmance with someone else. It’s a dangerous game, most of all when you’re famous. And Gillian is not that kind of woman anyway. I know she’s not perfect, I know a lot of people put her on a pedestal way too much, but she doesn’t do showmance. She does things without having any idea how they’ll be taken, though. She probably thought the Schmoopie shirt was just funny and didn’t know it would be taken as seriously as it was. She could have thought going to the Globes with PM wasn’t going to be taken as seriously as it is either. .

Maybe the media haven’t publish about Gillian and PM (if they are dating, personally I don’t take anything for granted) b/c they are private people & their publicists haven’t confirm it yet to the magazines. I have noticed in a lot of cases in my other fandoms that fans know for quite some time that actors date / break up before the media pick it up. People, NY Post, etc don’t post without confirmation. But if they are dating they’ll have to confirm it soon so we’ll know soon.

You could be right. Gossip website won’t try to reach Gillian’s reps, despite what they say, but serious paper will, and as long as they don’t get an answer, they probably won’t publish. Yet, they’ve been seen and photographed together at the Globes and I’m still surprised that we haven’t seen any real article about the fact that he was with her, not even a questioning article. There’s something weird.

American Gods, a show she’s actually in, gets a retweet and barely any mention, but the crown, a show she has nothing to do with, gets special attendance twice, photos of the award, enthusiasm, etc. It’s pretty obvious something’s going on here. It so strange seeing them go from ‘platonic’ kissing on stage, Joel McHale jokingly writing about their wedding in his book, schmoopie, etc. to radio silence and her holding hands with that tadpole. Hate GA for leading us on.

Hate is maybe a little extreme, isn’t it? There is surely something going on with The Crown, I don’t know what, I feel like she’ll be cast, but at the same time I don’t know how she can be in it without hurting her image after what’s happening now, either she’s with him or not.
