What BFI giving pm an award has to do with gillian? Bc they produce VH? I don’t get it why this is important? 😞 I am stupid I don’t understand it

It’s not that important. It’s just… linked. It’s the exact same thing that happened with Harper’s Bazaar but in the other way round. We all thought Gillian only had to be there to get her award until we found out how much The Crown was tied up to it too.
We knew Gillian was linked with BFI before, she did this q&a for The Fall there, but it could have come from Cubitt or Dornan. Now we know BFI is rewarding PM, and also backing Gillian’s new movie. That’s just… interesting.

Peter Morgan said today that there might not be a season 3 of The Crown and that he’s in discussions about whether to go forward. So much for your « theory » that Gillian was going to star in it and / or be a producer. Simple fact is she’s only going to these events to support him because she’s dating him.

Then we’ll have to agree to disagree. Nothing of the “supporting him” theory holds any weight to me. Logic tells me a lot of other, completely different, things, and your conclusion isn’t one of them.

Also, being in discussions about further seasons means just that. Nothing has been decided and it’s being discussed.

I had the same anon. I couldn’t find this interview, so I assumed it was just a troll.
The most recent information I could find in the press was that:

In the interest of fairness, PM was also in California during the same period GA was there last summer. It’s possible that GA was only on vacation there because he had work commitments.

He was there for at least a day as he had one event there, although, with all the sightings we had on Gillian over the summer, no one has ever mentioned a man with her. And be assured that all the persons on Twitter have been harassed with that question, as usual. 🙄

Gillian doesn’t really have to go to the premiere of her movie in London. She will only walk the red carpet and then she will go to her boyfriend’s dinner because this is much important and the movie she will find time to watch other time. Oh, and of course, she’ll change her dress in the car, leaving the premiere. This is what I heard. No joking. It was said in all seriousness. Well, I would suggest skipping the premiere altogether. Her boyfriend carries is much important, right? *kill me*

Well… the premiere is at 6pm and the dinner at 8pm. If they had to find logistic to meet each other, I would think he’d walk the red carpet with her and then skip the movie to go to his dinner. It seems like it works better this way, I wonder why no one has assume that instead of making the headcanon she will run to him as soon as she can. Her premiere might be as important as his dinner.
The thing is, actors don’t go to premiere to watch the movie or the show. They indeed have other occasions to do so and Gillian also attend the premiere in Berlin. They go because they have to, because it’s where they have to be.
This dinner is his honor, I’m sure they’ll be a table for the team of The Crown too, she might join later, who knows. There will be many celebs, people who have worked, work and will work with him there. But in any case I don’t believe she will flee from her own premiere to rush and be his date to walk the red carpet with him.

Well,I guess turning her twitter professional by using another handler makes sense. Still don’t understand the ridiculous amount of promotion for the crown. The award show attendance, the pic of the award. BTW, I remember reading somewhere that Vanessa Kirby said in an interview that she played matchmaker for two close friends of her, and this had me worried because she was in the show. I couldn’t find any interview where she says that, though. Did this happen or was it also made up?

It happened, it wasn’t made up, but if I recall correctly, it was an old interview which didn’t fit Gillian and PM timeline. I’m sure Vanessa Kirby has a lot of other friends, I’m not sure she considers PM as a close friend with whom she would played the matchmaker anyway, nor with Gillian. You have to be very close to the persons and very comfortable with them and with the fact of interfering in their private lives to do such a thing.

It doesn’t do the trick for me either. There are rules in Hollywood. Walking the red carpet together means coming out. But they walked it separately and yet were seen together during the evening. My conclusion is that they were each other’s date that night but they didn’t come out as a couple because they’re not one. 

There’s nothing lowkey at the Golden Globes, if you want to hide a relationship, you just don’t go at all. You can’t so subtle at such an event.

« You see what you want to see ». This so fits for some blogs. I just read, that the reason the lack of PDA at the GG between GA and PM was the fact, that they both have children and didn’t want to expose them. So my 1st thought was, « but expose to what? To the feelings that they have for each other? » but then 2nd thought « what about Davis »? They both were acting pretty feral to each other. What about Kimmel and many other things? They also have kids! It is so unlogical I want to scream!!!

Don’t scream and take a deep breath. It’s actual weirder to PDA with someone you’re not with that with someone you’re actually dating, even if it’s for some promotion, so I don’t see the logic either. If they didn’t PDA, they didn’t PDA that’s it. I don’t think they had some conversation before like “okay, I walk the red carpet, but not with you, we don’t touch each other, we don’t look at each other, but it’ll be clear enough that we are together”. Makes no sense to me.
