that ominous German article some people are fering to

*sigh* I knew some people would freak out about this. This is the article. Some points to consider. since the author is a freelance journalist, the same article appeared in different regional  newspaper owned by the same group.

  • the article states that GA spoke to the paper, yet some of the quotes are very similar which (the part that she didn’t knew much about Edwina before taking the role) in this video interview. It’s possible, though the interview were done in a round table style, e.g. several journalists asked questions, she answered at the Berlinale or GA used the same answers. The author although states that he lives in Berlin and Seoul, so believe the part that he was there.
  • the article states she is living with a German in London-. As mentioned before, PM is not German. He may live in Austria (as well in other parts in the world), but no German newspaper would mix that up.People should keep in mind that her first husband, Clyde is a German expat with Canadian citizenship or a Canadian born to German parents.
  • The article calls her role in the X-Files “Detective Scully”. Anyone old enough to be alive in the 1990or able to use wikipedia and/or would know that it’s Agent Scully, not detective.
  • the article also states that when GA became pregnant, her role also became pregnant in the show – which is false and could have easily be fact checked on wikipedia.

So I don’t know how much trust one can put in a journalist who failed to some basic fact checking when writing an article.
