I admire your confidence in gillovny :) May I ask how long you’ve believed in a david×gillian relationship because I want to believe but often the ‘other side’ are hell bent on proving otherwise. For instance, they want to sell this Gilligan ship. I’m blown away by how eagerly they are to jump on that bandwagon when literally we have YEARS worth of gillovny interaction to base rational assumptions on. I hadn’t seen the globes clip before and now I see it on JHHS blog & GA/PM don’t look romantic.

First, let me suggest that you unfollow blogs who are making you feel stressed or unhappy in any way. Your sanity will thank you for it. I know it’s tempting to read everything that’s out there, but the reality is, the other side will never consider that they may be wrong, they’ll approach legitimate and polite arguments with condescension, and they’ll continue to believe they’re right. It’s unfortunate that this division exists, but it does, and there’s no reasoning with them.

There are years of David and Gillian interactions and events on which we can draw to support our beliefs. Please don’t let the other side make you think there was no meaning to any of it, that it was all performance, that it was nothing more than placating fans with what they wanted while David and Gillian got enjoyment out of it. I will never believe that. There are far too many instances that had meaning and carried weight. It’s easier for people who don’t want Gillovny to be true to simply say it was all for fun and that Gillian doesn’t know when to stop joking. I think that’s highly insulting to her. I also don’t call her a toddler, but if it makes people happy to think she is, then whatever.

I’ve looked at all the after-party photos and watched the GGs video, as well as the video of Gillian and PM leaving. There was nothing, to me, that screamed romantic. There was nothing that even showed me there’s an intimate relationship between them. I don’t agree with people saying that it’s because she was keeping it private. If that were the case, showing up with the man you’re dating means you’re ready to go public. No one’s saying the public are being invited into your bedroom; but it’s Hollywood. There *will* be attention. It also doesn’t line up with the slow coming-out theory the other side have. If you’re coming out, you should at least look like you’re happy with one another. You don’t need to sit on each other’s laps, or be kissing every other minute, but you should look happy. You can at least radiate as much next to the man you supposedly love the same way as you do alone and around others who aren’t him.

I saw nothing romantic between Gillian and PM. There was no nuzzle. There was no kiss. Making slow-mo gifs aren’t going to change reality. I understand that many on the other side are desperate for her to be with anyone but David. But they’re literally making something huge out of next to nothing, and while we’re belittled and insulted for Gillovny conclusions formed over many years and through countless events and interactions, they’ve got two appearances together for Gillian and PM. There was barely any physical contact between them in the photos and videos we saw, and barely to little engagement. The only things I picked up on were awkwardness, coldness and stiffness.

Also, I’ve seen plenty (too much!) about how The Fall is a BBC show. Yes, it most certainly is. But according to Gillian’s own comment last year at one of the comic cons (I still have to track it down once I have more time), Netflix put money into the production of season 3. That gives them say in a lot of things. Netflix also has VOD and distribution rights for The Fall in many countries, and in most of them, it’s exclusive. So yes, Netflix is involved. And please don’t let anyone make you believe that contracts, when they’re signed, don’t include co-representation and co-promotion clauses. Contracts are worked out to the last detail, everything is considered and argued, and all options are available to all parties. Co-representation and co-promotion are very common (even when fans don’t think something needs it).

So this is my very long-winded way of saying, I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I will continue to be confident until such time as there comes something that shows me Gillian and PM are definitely a couple. There is much that doesn’t add up with logic, with perception, with what I know and with what Gillian stands for. I’m also coming from having no doubt that David and Gillian were together for the last few years. It has nothing to do with other blogs and everything to do with my own self. So I can’t reconcile – logically – going from Wizard World in Chicago to her leaping into the arms of a man who, quite honestly, hasn’t come across as remotely likable in his interviews or behaviour.

Don’t worry about the other side wanting to prove themselves right and us wrong. Ignore them. Believe according to your feelings, your insight and your conclusions. Don’t let people make you think you’re stupid. And make your dash a happier place by removing people who bring you down or give you stress you don’t want.
