Daldry WAS standing at the sidelines watching the march. Several fans saw him. He’s a recognisable face, much more so than Peter Morgan (he’s worked with the likes of Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and Juluanne Moore). Why would your anons accuse several fans of lying? Oh, and filming does happen on the weekend over here. I remember when Gillian was filming Johnny English and they were shooting outside Buckingham Palace on a Saturday.

I don’t know about my anons, but I personally don’t believe they were filming. I can agree filming on weekends happen in London, but definitely not in the streets during That day. As to know if he was marching or not… Is that really important? We know he wasn’t marching *with* Gillian anyway, or he would have been on the other pics, like the Dan guy. Maybe he was standing and caught the march a little late, when this VIP section. I just don’t think they randomly saw each other just like that.

Yep, what that anon says makes sense. The London March Twitter even posted a picture of her shoes and called her the « friendliest heritage warden in Trafalgar Square. » She wasn’t just another nameless face in the crowd.

And you can see all the professional photographers in front of Gillian on her selfie. There was probably a VIP section like it was the case in many other cities. I don’t think Gillian just bumped into Daldry. You can’t bump into someone randomly in such a crowd. I don’t believe he was filming either.

The woman with the pink hat and the one with the glasses on her head were on stage yesterday. G wasn’t in « the crowd » yesterday. She marched with the VIP. So whoever told you they saw Stephen Daldry in the street (as if it was possible to recognize him) lied to you. And no, they weren’t filming The Crown in the streets during the Women march day! She took this selfie because he was also in with the VIP in the march. Thought it needed to be said.
