Maple Ridge becomes the mysterious haunt of the X-Files

“X-Files location manager Jendrek Kowalski said they’re at the end of the season 11 and were shooting episode nine.

‘We’ve been all over the place really.’

Scenes in Vancouver stood in for other parts of the U.S.

Maple Ridge doubled for the fictional town of Eastwood, Conn.

‘All of the crew and the producers were very happy with the look. The town looked great. We wanted to have a small-town feel so that’s why we came to Maple Ridge.’

The shooting schedule for next season hasn’t been determined.”

So apparently those pictures of M & S from yesterday are from them shooting episode 9. You can see the director Holly Dale in one of the shots and a police car saying they’re in the town of Eastwood, which features in episode 9. CC is apparently shooting second unit footage for episode 10 and filming with Miles as William, then GA and DD start filming episode 10 either today or tomorrow.

Okay! Thanks for the information, anon. I was hoping that the Willian we’ve seen wasn’t the real William so I don’t know how I feel about seeing him again in episode 10, but anyway…

Roamin’s Blog

The RCMP gets to do all kinds of neat things. Yesterday I was providing scene security on a TV show called “The X Files”. Just to be clear, up at the North Pole we are all huge fans of X Files. It’s all we watch in the off season. Not gonna lie, I’m still surprised that the Fox and Scully Barbie set didn’t perform better during the ‘98 Christmas season.

During my day, one of the set Directors came over and asked if I’d like to meet one of the actors. I was like, “OMG, am I going to meet the Cigarette Smoking Man!?” But then he brought over David Duchovny.

Anyway, David and I chatted. He said he loved my Blog.

So, yeah…me and David, we’re pretty tight now.
