Don’t know but I’m 95% sure this bed scene is not with a doppelgänger and not a dream sequence either. I think it’s the real deal. I’ve missed seeing them in bed together sooo much!!
Just noticed Scully is on the wrong side of the bed in that screenshot. In past scenes of them laying next to each other she’s always been on the other side of the bed. I hope that’s not an indication that it’s doppelganger!Scully.

I’m scared that the bed scene is just about Scully telling Mulder “I don’t want to be alone tonight” (assuming the William stuff is making her emotional and stressed) and that we will see nothing else but them lying in bed for 2 seconds. So I don’t want to get my hopes up.
At this point, I’d take it if it’s just that, and Mulder’s welcome her in his bed and they spend a comfy night cuddling in each other’s arms and they’re a happy couple in the rest of the episodes.
