I don’t understand why people keep thinking things weren’t weird during the Schmoopie con. Things looked awkward between them and it did not look like D was all so comfortable at all with the schmoopie tshirt. And as I recall after this things got quiet. Look back again at the video and the pictures. He just went with it but it was not playfully and the shirt bite looked sarcastic. I think she pushed the envelope too far. Something else might have been going on too.

I’m sorry, but I have to disagree with you. Yes, the panel was awkward, yes, there wasn’t the same dynamic between them as we were used to during NYCC or Paley, or even IBG, but don’t forget they weren’t alone. I think Mitch and mostly WBD kinda killed the fun. I have many friends who were there, I think I’ve read all the reports of the dual photo op and the signings and they seem to be as goofy and playful and flirty with each other as they used to be during other cons.
Also, Gillian did a few cons on her own after that one where she gushed about David again.

To me, everything was fine at this time.
