I do sometimes, when I have friends or anons telling me I should check this or that. Gillovny fans don’t need to calm anything. It’s not because a handful of crazy anons send messages like this that we’re all responsible. I don’t support such a behavior and as a Gillovny fan, I refuse to be associated with that.
BUT, I will always wonder why these anons make it to these blogs and get published. I mean, I blocked an anon a few days ago because they called me an “idiot”. That’s how far my own standards go to haters-anons. If I ever get such an message, threatening me or my family, there’s a big “report” button for that. I really don’t understand the point of posting hate towards yourself.
If you’ve seen this post as you claim, then you know what was posted was a screenshot of the reported post.
And your theory above normalises the horrendous message that blog received as explainable. Whatever she posts, nobody deserves to have their kids threatened. How dare you imply that anything could make that an acceptable consequence. If you must tour other people’s blogs to spectate their misery, then do so with compassion. Don’t blame them for how they handle the bad stuff.
In this fandom it often feels like if you don’t make the ugliness aimed at you public, nobody believes it happened. It’s why I started filming my anons. It’s why people screenshot the hate they receive. Because otherwise you receive posts saying that “I haven’t seen it in my dash so it didn’t happen”.
It’s happenening behind closed doors and if you’ve received horrible anons you know how dark in can get. No fandom divide should ever be deep enough that you try and explain away that sort of threat.
Shame on you
I really don’t understand this message, Rose. Did you just ignored the first part of my message or just misinterpreted my words? I’m confused. But okay… shame on me, I guess.
