At their age and considering what their relationship might be with the distance and their schedule and everything, I assume they would do everything in their power to be together at any moment, not necessarily for Valentine’s Day, birthdays, Christmas or whatever. They can celebrate love at any other time.
Gotta admit DD didn’t sound super convincing when he made the « best Valentine » comment. That being said, I’m sure it was a good way of spending Vday anyway. Doing something you love. Look, maybe Vday doesn’t mean *that* much to him. Even if we assume G/D are together I doubt they would do everything in their power just to be together on Vday. Anniversaries are more important IMO.
