I don’t think it’s the PR people holding the announcement back. It’s way easier for them to just say yes or no and be done with it. I think they went to Gillian and she told them to do neither. Would you trust a PR firm that told you to do nothing? I think Gillian is way more the decision maker on this than you might assume. I still can’t understand why she is choosing to do things this way, but I can’t imagine if there is no reason, that her PR would advise her to sit on this…

PR strategy can be shady sometimes. The way I see it is that she just lives her life and is supposed to rely on her PR team to handle the shit. They’re the ones who are supposed to keep her in the loop on what’s happening. I don’t think she would even know what’s going on if her PR didn’t tell her. She might give them instructions, like don’t communicate on this or that, but I think the whole strategy comes down to them. She’s an actress, her job is to act and promote her work. Everything else has to be handled by someone who does it as a job.
