And you know if he did, a portion of the fandom would find some fault with it anyway. There’s no winning.

I absolutely agree, anon. That’s also the reason why she keeps talking about him as her “co-star”, never mentioning his name. She compartmentalizes, and doesn’t want to be associated with The X-Files right now, which has nothing to do with her private life. But I’m sure he’s proud of her anyway, and he has his own way to show his support.
