Whatever the interviewer actually meant I think Gillian took the question as referring to the guy who got offered double her salary, as that’s what she’s been talking about in her interviews.

I guess there’s only one partner in her mind. She’d used this word so much to talk about Mark when they were together, that it’s hard to think she could use it in another context… so… partner gate.
