Hi JJH, I love your blog and I need your opinion on something. Gillian recently admitted that she’s in a relationship (in London eye her answer was yes when she was asked if her partner in supportive, not coy or playful, a simple, direct yes) do you believe she and David are ready to go public? B/c I doubt you open that conversation if you are not and until recently she used to deny it. What’s your take on that change?

I’m actually very chill about what she said under the London Eye. I didn’t take it as a coming out or an acknowledgment or her being in a serious relationship with someone. The way it happened was so fast and unexpected, it just made me feel like she wanted to skip the question and the journalist to move on quickly. She said Yes out of the blue, I’m not even sure she had someone in particular in her mind. When she mentioned David as her partner in the radio interview a few hours before, her word was weighed and thought, you could hear it. It wasn’t chosen randomly. But this time, the question was so unexpected that she didn’t have the time to think and just answered quickly to move on. I really hope they come out one day, but if they do, be assured it’ll be well organised and controlled by a bunch of PR an publicist, and she’ll be careful not to drop that kind of word during a random event.
