I’m not fully up to speed on the ‘partner’ usage. I know the London Eye interviewer asked GA if her paetner supported her. What was her reaction to this question? Did she look nervous? I know she quickly answered with a yes. What happened in that radio interview? She spoke about pay inequity but did she refer to DD as her partner? And at the book release, she said ‘if I was single’. I’m trying to find out the link between DD and her usage of ‘partner’. Her thanking PM in the book is worrying.

I wouldn’t say she looked “nervous”, maybe more taken aback, she answered quickly with a big “yes” like she wanted to skip the question as fast as possible. The radio is what you said, she was asked about the pay inequality and she called David her “partner”. Then she said “if I was single and didn’t have children” on a written interview. It’s always annoying when things like that happen on paper because you can’t see her face, you can’t hear the way she said it, you can’t even be sure it’s her own words or the real phrasing. But by all means, I hope she meant David and I can’t see her calling PM her “partner” anyway.
