What you don’t seem to grasp is the fact that GA fans aren’t shipping GA with PM, they’re just accepting of the fact that she’s dating him and are happy for her. You can wax lyrical about how you think she’s not involved with him romantically but evidence points to the contrary. DD and GA have always had an inappropriate relationship with each other (kissing for fun on set just after DD got married, DD telling GA his wife wanted to lick her pussy, etc.) but they weren’t dating back then.

Anon, you can’t be more wrong. I know exactly that most of fans are just accepting what they think is the truth, and I have absolutely zero issues with that.
If you think Gillian is dating PM, fine. What I have issues with are the few people who started to SHIP them the first day the WSJ article came out, automatically became hard core fans of PM even if they didn’t hear his name before and changed their position on Gillovny and their opinion on David the second this rumor started. It’s not the major part of the fandom but it’s a loud handful who are actually SHIPPING them for no other reasons then mocking and provoking Gillovny fans.
There was global meltdown in the fandom after the GG and rather than supporting their own community, those people thought it was better to mock and bully them. These are the ones I have issues with. Not those who think Gillian is PM and deal with it.

As for Gillovny being real, I don’t know what happened, I don’t know what’s happening, but I don’t state anything as a fact, and you shouldn’t do it either because you know nothing more than I do.
