I think it reinforces the idea Gillian wants Mulder and Scully to fuck, and to have sex scenes with David, which means they’re closer now than they’ve ever been (their words, not mine). But I guess one focuses on what they want.
But the playlist says « please give Gillian Anderson more (money) than you give David Duchovny » and she posted it and said it was genius, which means she agrees with that. That kinda reinforces the idea she’s doing TXF again mainly for money, and that she and David aren’t as close as you’d like to think.
