I’ve read something on one of the other side’s blog that Gillian moving her name from chewiesgirlfriend means that her and David are over for good. I’m sorry but how can someone be so stupid? Isn’t a reason why she put the « ex » there because she was getting too many chewie stuff? I’m sure she didn’t throw them away, like Chuchovny of chewie in a kilt but I’m sure she was sick of the toys already so she decided to end this and it was the best way. Why can someone see a bigger meaning here??

As I don’t know who you’re talking about in particular, I have a genuine question. How old is this person? Because I can totally understand why a 16 years old fan would think that way, even a little bit older. I’m not born with internet, I think I had my first computer at 12 and it didn’t have internet before a few years later, and still I don’t pretend I can understand how a 50 years old person use social media. I can see how my mom does, but my mom isn’t famous, so it’s of course not the same. 

What I’m 100% sure, is that Gillian (and David) don’t use social media as we do, Gillian even said she doesn’t have the apps on her phone. I think this is a professional decision, probably coming from her PR, to have one name for all her social media, which absolutely makes sense. There’s nothing else to see in this. She had a blast with Chewie, the joke got old, she got too much merch and ended it. Period. 

So when everyone in this fandom, young and older, will understand that nor Gillian neither David are Justin Bieber, we will all have made a huge step forward!
