Thatâs not entirely true, though. Her social media has changed since last summer, so way before the Peter Morgan mess and so before people started to attack her for that on Twitter. In my opinion, it coincides with her being OBE, as it seems like she had been given this title in August last year.Â
I think her social media reflect what kind of things she wants to promote too. Itâs her first communication platform, so it has to be in phase with her jobs. After the summer, when she finished to do all those cons, she started to be fully invested in charities, with the promotion tour of Sold and the many charity events she did. It would have been weird for her to speak about something so important such as child trafficking all day long for weeks, even months, but keep being a troll on Twitter.Â
Then, came the promotion of We. Her social media lightened a little bit, but still, she was very cautious and serious, because once again, she was working on something important. The promotion of We has ended not long ago, and soon, sheâll be focusing on XF, so I bet the atmosphere of her social media will lighten a lot!
What happened to her on Twitter was indeed awful, but we know she isnât that much on it herself, and hopefully, her handler didnât show her the worst. Sheâs a professional actress, she does this job for a long time, so Iâm not going to say sheâs bulletproof, but sheâs used to getting shit thrown at her. Sometimes, it comes from the press, the critics, the people, the fans⊠It happens, and Iâm sure she can handle it. She has, actually. She kinda told us to fuck off, and it has quiet down. Thankfully, she has that kind of authority on her fans and on people in general.
So donât worry too much, and most of all, donât feel guilty for something you didnât do. It was a handful of haters, and certainly not the major part of the fandom. Itâs not âourâ fault đ
