I read this from another blog but I have doubts if that’s true. Just want to hear your opinion. The rumor says Netflix’s contract prohibits Gillian from publicly appear with another person as a couple besides PM until the contract is over. That’s why they don’t do anything for upfronts (or if they did, it won’t be released until much later to avoid breaching the contract). Webby is a way to go around it without breaking the contract. Have you ever heard of these type of clause in contracts?

I’ve seen that kind of contract, it is a thing, but it would be assuming Netflix pull them into a PR showmance, and I really do not think that’s what it is. Fake couples exist in Hollywood, it’s not a news, but usually, they’re targeting a very young audience, pulling two teenagers’ idols together, or they’re meant to hide someone’s real partner (or sexuality, or anything else) or just to pushup one of them’s notoriety. Knowing Gillian (and David) as we know them, I don’t think for one second they would have signed this type of contract. Not at their age. Not at this point of their career. Not never. Actually, if there was such a contract between them, if they were in a showmance, we would have seen them behaving like they were in a relationship. We would have seen them holding hands, kissing. Call me crazy, but I think we would have seen them smiling. There would have been candids, sightings, videos, the whole package to make it believable. As it didn’t happen, it can’t be that kind of contract linking them.
