I’m not shocked by the revelation of the relationship or by the relationship itself. What shocks me is how it started, how it was handled, and how it ended.
It started with a tweet that now, in hindsight, was quite shocking considering we thought she was promoting a show she wouldn’t watch anyway because she always said she doesn’t watch anything. But it was on Netflix, at the same time of The Fall, so it could have been about that and that was it. Turns out she was promoting her brand new boyfriend before even introducing him to us. One would say it’s none of our business, but the tweet and the promo of his show was, so when I’m served something, I’d rather know what I’m eating.
It was handled in the worst way, with Gillian basically telling us to fuck off.
It’s ending in the trashiest way. With her body exposed and 40 pictures that she allowed to be released, or at least that she saw were taken, no one will make me believe otherwise while releasing an interview where she says she wants to keep her private life private.
I’m not shocked about her relationship, but about the communication and let’s say the word, the marketing around it. That’s what I’m disappointed and frustrated about, because I still have many questions that will never get any answers.
