I find myself wishing season 11 were not happening. The fandom is more divided than it has ever been, controversy is everywhere, and now, the show has been turned in to a political platform to allow GA to smoothly deflect attention away from the Portofina fiasco. My show has been hijacked and honestly, every scrap of excitement has been leeched from me and it breaks my heart.

I feel you, anon, but I still want season 11 to happen. I need closure, no matter what kind of mess surrounds the show.
The fandom will never be the same, Gillovny will never be the same, but once we all know Mulder and Scully live together ever after, we can have a break and see if we love David and/or Gillian enough to keep worshiping them or if it’s not worth it. For now, it is.
