I agree with you, and I’d go with the second solution. Things are probably not that easy and a lot more complicated, but I think they were together for a few years, and I think they’ll get back to each other sooner or later.
I believed Gillovny was real for years, that they were in a relationship until recently but then I see Gillian’s relationship with PM and Webby’s and I just can’t believe that she would break up with David, be in another relationship and be so easy with David again. Either they weren’t together at all or it’s just not really the end of their story and PM is just a phase…
