Can I please say that I didn’t think anything was off at Gillovnycon? I have a bunch of mutuals who agree, as well. So I don’t think everyone will agree with you. The panel had too many people, it ruined the vibe, others on here has built up the event for weeks as being one where David and Gillian would be crawling all over each other, kissing, etc and when that didn’t happen, the screams of something being off came out. They were fine and it was the new controlled version for the public imo.

Where did you read that you all have to agree with me? All opinions are valid, anon, and yours too. I have friends who were there too, and their meeting with David and Gillian during the photo op and at the signing booth were more than fine. I do think there was an odd vibe during the panel, Gillian wasn’t in the mood and David was trying to make her talk but he failed most of the time. It could be due to many reasons, the crowd, WBD being there or something going on between them, we’ll never know. But I got the impression that after the panels we’ve seen with them, NYCC, SDCC, IBG, Paley Center, even the Wondercon in 2008, this one had a different vibe.
Hopefully, the next Gillovnycon in a few weeks will make it up for me 🙂
