Many thoughts! I have absolutely zero issues with that and no complex at all to write about them, analyse their lives, reblog beautiful fan art and so on.
They’re famous for 25 years, being scrutinized by the public eye is part of the life they’ve chosen. If people would stop talking about them, if they would stop being photographed and interviewed, their career would stop too.
I think they’ve learned to live their life without caring about others’ opinions on them, without reading or watching everything that is said about them. That’s not something we can even imagine or relate to. They do their things, fans do theirs and most of the time, our worlds don’t even collude. I’m not delusional to the point of thinking Gillian and David read my blog and care about it. Actually, if everyone would understand that they’re not going to be noticed and acknowledged and that they don’t need to be the perfect fans loving and buying everything they do, the fandom would be a happier place where no one would be trying to police others.
Everyone has their own boundaries, but in my opinion, they have to be personal and my boundaries don’t have to be yours and vice versa. As long as no one is stupid enough to do what we do here in real life face to face with them, I think everything is okay, and we don’t have to censor ourselves. As a fan, you can choose to read what you want and if you don’t like it, unfollow or block. I said many times here that I’m not running my blog *for* Gillian and David but about them. Huge difference!
