Mulder and Scully love each other because the way she has to lean over the desk to reach something makes him smile. Because his theories keep her up so late at night trying to prove him wrong that the only person awake to call is him. She’s the person who listens when he talks instead of thinking of what to to say next. They’re in love because it’s the entire universe up against them. Because no one else could understand, no one else can see what they see.
