2) it was really only a few people on Tumblr and the same notorious girls on twitter who went crazy about what he said about the queen. just because this very small part of the fandom worries about these social media tantrums it does not mean that the daily mail or other media outlets do. they could not care less. They only care for juicy stuff on twitter like when David was seen with M it was scandalous enough for them. but pm is really not a big deal for them to write about. only on tumblr!

I fully disagree with that. First of all, I don’t have a false grasp on how media work. I work in the media field for 10 years so I do have a little bit of experience in them.
Then, the dailyMail has written dozens of horrible articles about Gillian over the years. She once stated she would never give them an interview again. Every gossip newspaper or website in the world use them as a source. It wouldn’t be the first time they write an article about her Twitter account and her fans reactions. It happened before.
I said that what’s happening on twitter and tumblr is not that important, but the repetition of it could draw attention on it and that’s when it becomes dangerous. The Daily Mail has already mentioned Gillian and PM more than once, it was neither positive nor negative but factual. But if, by keeping tweeting about The Crown again and again, Gillian give them an interesting subject to dig up, they’ll jump on the occasion, especially because The Crown will be released and XF promo will start so Gillian will be everywhere. If it sells, you can be sure they will be interested.
