sorry, I do not know the history of Gillian and PETA, what does this mean?

PETA is more than controversial and it seems like they kill more animals than they save. They accumulates scandals over slaughtering shelter animals, shaming women body and misogyny. And it’s all over the world. For example, here in France one of their marketing campaign compared disabled people to animals in way that was more horrible towards disabled people than nice to animals.
I wish both David and Gillian choose another animal charity to support.
