I think GA was directing her words toward fans who think they can judge someone by single pic or video and whatever one is doing in sm is the proof of what’s happening in person’s life. For example, David didn’t respond to her tweet and ppl concluded they’re angry at each other. And also, it’s not the first time she said she was always busy bc she couldn’t just do nothing. So I don’t get this drama over her words and if you want to judge her by it, that means you didn’t get her interview at all.

Her interview is subject to interpretation so I don’t hold the truth and you don’t either. There’s no drama but I took it very differently.
She pinpointed that when she posts happy pictures specifically on the set of The X-Files, which is what she’d done for the last 6 months, it doesn’t mean she really is happy. That’s exactly what she said. Those pictures and videos she shared with us are the ONLY good promotion we got this season. It’s also the ONLY Gillovny events we got. And she basically cancelled everything saying it doesn’t reflect her state of mind or not even the atmosphere on the set.

I’ve always thought that we’re reading too much into their social media interactions because they’re not 20 and the way they see social media is radically different from the way you and I see it and use it. When she teased David and when he responded, I’ve always found it cute and funny but that never meant anything more to me. I never though it reflected the state of their relationship, either it was positive or not. So I wish she would have answered his tweet for the walk of fame. I wish he would have answered hers when they wrapped but I try not to over-interpret the lack of responses.

But that’s no at all what she talked about. She didn’t talk about interactions with others on social media. She said that when she posts a picture or a video where she looks happy and giddy and giggly, she could as well be feeling bad or sad. That’s a very different thing and it’ll just make me side-eye everything single picture she shared during the filming, with or without David, and all the pics she’ll share in the future. I wanted to think that when we saw her all happy talking about this bone China nonsense, she was enjoying herself on the set. But after all, maybe she wasn’t. Or when Joel McHale took this video of the three of them with David, she looked relaxed and happy. But maybe her mind was somewhere else. I thought pictures and video couldn’t lie, but apparently they do and that’s disappointing.
