I finally saw the post about mysogyny you talked about. I think they’re right. Sorry but no one is never asking David about his private life even if he was in the tabloids with a girl 33 years younger than him but all they ask Gillian is about her children and her partner and previous partners and comments on what she eats. If that’s not mysogyny…

I still haven’t seen this post on my dash and I’m not going to look for it so I can only guess what’s in it and who it is from.
Let’s take the problem from another perspective. The Times booked an hour with Gillian for a portrait. She and her reps agreed on it knowing what would be the content of the article. It’s a portrait. They’d be portraying her personality. Everybody knows that they’d be asking private-ish questions, Gillian included. No one forced her to go there, no one forced her to answer those questions if she didn’t want to. So why trying to defend her on something she was willing to do? She’s not made of sugar, she can say no if she wants to. That’s the first point.
Then, because of course we always have to compare with David, which is annoying in itself, but anyway… let’s compare. I assume this post blames the journalists who talk about her private life instead of her work, am I right? But once Gillian has told you she won’t return to XF, she doesn’t want to talk about XF, she can’t tell you anything about the plot, she thinks Scully is square and not funny, she won’t return to American Gods, she can’t talk about her futur project and she wants to take a long break. Then what’s left? Children, partners and backdoors. Journalists adapts to what she give them.
What does it have to do with misogyny to say that David has an album, a book, and a tour coming up, and Gillian has no current projects to talk about besides XF that she doesn’t show any interest for, except for saying she wants to leave? When she’ll have a new project and David will be taking a break, she’ll talk about her work and he’ll talk about his children. That’s not misogyny, that’s life.
