David was GOOD and funny and humble in the interview. You should watch it and give it a chance and not listen to others who are convinced it’s bad. He answered goos questions from the audience and he was honest and it was so enjoyable. Also he said his biggest fear is public shaming. I think that seals the answer that he isn’t with MP as a boyfriend. He’s afraid of being shamed publicly so there’s no way he would be dating her. I know you disagree but imo it’s a pretty clear confirmation.

Actually, I don’t disagree. This is my biggest struggle right now, to understand how such an intelligent and thoughtful and interesting man can date someone who takes mirror selfies in restrooms and put veggies in her mouth like it was someone’s dick. He says so beautiful and smart things in recent interviews and the last thing he said which has stayed with me is that he finds every conversation that is not about politics a little insignificant. Which is so true and relatable right now. But on the other hand I can’t really enjoy his interviews anymore bc there is always this thought back in my mind that he is dating a 24yo girl. I don’t care what she is like and how many books she’s read in her life, she is still 24 yo, which is sooooo fucking young, I don’t even understand how someone in his late 50′s dare to touch her intimately. I know this sounds naive and all, but this is actually what bothers me and has ruined everything for me around David lately. You can call me a bad fan, I don’t care, bc you are probably right. I’m a bad fan bc I shouldn’t care about his dating life, or I should just be in denial which works for a few people but not for me, but I can’t really help it, so I just reduced my time being here on tumblr, and I’m trying to distance myself and not care. It is not easy tho.

Also, I don’t know what he means by “public shaming” but one thing is sure, it doesn’t include being shamed for dating a 24yo girl. They have been already photographed by paps and fans and random people and there have been articles about them with nasty comments under them. If he would be worrying what people say about them he wouldn’t go to public places with her. But he does, so for me it means he doesn’t give a shit what anyone thinks. Sorry, this got too long, I’ll shut up now.
