As someone who is/was there, Gillian gets a lot of flack for not always seeming super into it, but she was lovely and chatty today, while David just… couldn’t care less about most of it.

David is just a very moody guy in general. That’s his cons attitude. He does them but hate it and it shows.  It’s always like that, either Gillian is there or not, but usually, people he meets one to one during photo op have a great time. I feel like he just really doesn’t enjoy the panels because he’s too scared of the questions he might get and gets very defensive when he feels like someone is, legit or not, trying to trap him/them.
