Do you know why there are obviously more people denying G is with PM than believing it while on the other side there are obviously more people believing D is with MP than denying it? G looks sad while posing with PM, D looks bored on fanpics with MP, it’s said “Portofino looks staged” as well as “M called the paps to the gym”. Many people seem to doubt a “sighting” with PM in Mexico, if there would be a “sighting” of D with MP in NYC, there wouldn’t be any doubts. Where is the difference ?

I’m not sure it’s true, though. There is no proof at all that David is with Monique, and btw, she’s completely out of the frame since they wrapped so I’m not sure people are still talking about her.
We’ve just gone through a PM week without any pda, except the small hand holding on the Globes red carpet. So I guess those who were in denial before that, still are. It’s not my case but I understand that Gillian didn’t give them any reason to change their mind during this week.

It really Is sad regarding DD. I’m a fan of both actors, but to some people in the fandom, Gillian can do no wrong whilst David is some sort of sex-addicted penniless actor who desperately needs the Mulder role.

It is very sad, and it’s also very untrue. David doesn’t need money. A simple research on Google would show those people that he is worth a few more millions than Gillian. After the X-FIles, he managed to be a lead actor and a producer on a show that lasted seven years and which ratings and international sales worked very very well. He literally created himself a brand new fandom for Californication. He wrote two books which both ended up with great reviews from the New York Times and if I’m not mistaken were also both bestsellers. 
He’s going to self-produce Bucky Fucking Dent as a movie this year, because he happens to have the money (his words), and he’s living his best life and touring all around the world with his music. David Duchovny doesn’t need anyone’s pity and if he doesn’t want to say goodbye to Mulder it’s because he loves this character, he loves the series, he loves working with the crew and most of all, he knows already what it feels like to quit this character. 
I don’t think I need to pinpoint that Gillian’s career outside The X-Files is a bit less successful so far, money-wise at least. 

You go into an episode thinking you want it to be more intense. But then on the set you see David wants to improvise. And it wasn’t until we were on set that it hit me that we split them up in “Home Again,” and that was wrong. So I let them monkey around and do jokes and he’d come back and say, “Don’t cut them out!”

I’ve been defending DD a lot on here because I simply HATE to hear supposed fans trashing him.  Saying he’s selfish (again) and wants to keep making X Files because of money… or because he can’t find another acting job.  (Truth is he had so much fun being Mulder in S11, he wants to keep going.  For the joy of it.  He’s got plenty of $$.. c’mon people.)

In that face of that crap…  I LOVE hearing shit like this above.  The truth is,  Duchovny has been the best friend of MSR for a long time.  He wrote that incredible hallway scene in “Amor Fati” … he wrote “The Unnatural” .. he’s the one who danced with Gillian unscripted in “PMP” .. and he enjoys the romantic banter and sexual innuendo enough to beg Glen Morgan not to cut them out.   He’ll go with the scripts he’s given, whether M&S are broken up or together, but he still tries to bring in the romance.  And of course, HE’s the one who kept referring to Scully as Mulder’s WIFE – over and over, despite Chris Carter’s corrections.  I think he sees M&S now as a sort of Nick and Nora “The Thin Man’ couple – loving each other, man & wife solving crimes and kicking butt.  (Younger fans – google “Thin Man” movies from the ‘30s)
