Let’s focus on the good things that are coming! 8 more episodes, more bts, more bloopers, David will be on some tv shows, hopefully being his adorable dork again, and even they won’t be appearing together for now, it also means no more depressing appearance. That’s probably better for now 🙂
The hosts welcome “The X-Files” star DAVID DUCHOVNY, and SUSAN KELECHI WATSON talks about the series “This Is Us.” January 23rd 2018
And I feel like just this year, I’ve developed a whole new appreciation for the uniqueness of what people always ask me about and referred to, “What about your chemistry,” and, you know, “You got chemistry,” you know? But it was it’s special. And it’s a chemistry that often there are elements of it that show up when we’re, you know, side by side doing interviews, but most of it shows up
– “Not right now, but …” David quips, humorously, and Gillian smirks to continue.
Celebrating 25 years, makes me look back when I first met Gillian. It was during the casting, I was looking for some matches and she took them out and approached me, just like that, without saying a word.
XFN was in attendance at the FOX winter TCA panel for The X-Files with Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny, Mitch Pileggi, Glen Morgan, James Wong, and Darin Morgan. A lot was discussed including Gillian’s thoughts on why this is truly her last run as Dana Scully and her appreciation for the character and the Mulder and Scully relationship. Read the full panel notes here.
Read this. Trust me David and Gillian are all about the banter. Still teasing and poking fun at their own chemistry. Honest, witty. So them. I love ‘em! 🙂
They did the TCA for season 10 and they taped dozens on joint interviews, a photoshoot and many articles. This is the best way to promote the season all along ‘cause the articles and interviews will be distilled during the 8 next weeks for sure. This is very good news even if right now, it’s frustrating.
I know that’s how everybody understood it but it when I read the tweet I thought he just said that The X-Files could continue to exist with or without THEM (which is utter bs but still is different than what you said). It didn’t occur to me that he was saying he would do more without Gillian. It seemed to me that he said if she was up to do more, he’d be okay with it and if she really wanted to stop, he’d be okay with it too.
I could have misunderstood his words, though.
All in all, Chris expressly said there won’t be more without Gillian, so there’s no real question here.
I don’t want to worry about Scully’s ending either because who knows what Gillian could have wished for. Actors are odd sometimes. Just like David wished Hank Moody died at the end of Californication, who knows if Gillian didn’t wish for Scully’s death and it’s not happening and that’s why she isn’t happy with it? The way we see the ending of the show and the way she sees it could be totally different.
