Sorry but I disagree. Maybe Gillian didn’t know about the women writers but at least she spoke about it and it’s better than not saying anything. Women have to fight for their rights!

Sorry, but I disagree too 🙂
If Gillian wouldn’t have retweeted the article, it would have gone unnoticed, and called out later for their bullshit.
Yesterday, we would have discovered the two names of the two new directors of season 11. We would have been happy to have new writers. We would have gone checking their previous works, see their connections to the show, analyse their abilities to make great episodes and so on.

But what are we doing now? Celebrating the fact that two writers of the xfiles have pussies and not penises. Now fox is happy to use all of this as a PR strategy. That’s not what I call feminism.

Aren’t you nervous that CC hired two female directors one month before they start filming because Gillian woke him up from his misogyny?

Absolutely not because I don’t believe for one second Gillian is responsible of the hiring of those two writers. They didn’t hire them because Gillian asked so. What kind of show and production would that be? It was planned, Fox just didn’t reveal all the writers beforehand, and instead of checking her facts, Gillian simply retweeted the one article stating without sources or proof that all the staff was composed with male writers, creating the smokescreen/drama we’ve all witnessed.

So until I’ve seen the episodes, I’m going to believe these women were hired because of their competences and because CC and Fox trust them to create great episodes, and I’m just really happy we get fresh blood-ish, regardless their gender.

I see so-called feminism discussions everywhere about those two female directors, and fans saying they don’t care if they’re women, men or any other gender called misogynist again and this is beyond ridiculous. When we will stop praising women just because they’re women, that’s when feminism will win.

do you REALLY want the twitter fuckery again though? when you know it’s not sincere? when you know she’s with peter? you want to see her fake flirt with david? that’s odd don’t you think?

Yes I do! Because I don’t think it’ll be fake or forced or whatever.

We all know how stubborn Gillian is. If she doesn’t want to do something, nothing can force her, not even David and certainly not the fans pressure, or she would have changed her Tumblr icon by now.

Their public image and appearances have always been well separated in my mind from their private lives and relationship. I know I can’t have them being together anymore for now, but I really want to forget ‘til the existence of Mr Morgan anyway. I still want their public interactions to be the same, and I think they will and they won’t be forced or acted because after knowing each other for so long, certain things are natural and genuine no matter what. At this point of their lives, I think their dynamic in public and maybe even in private won’t change because they’re not together together. Although, I hope that *this* will change soon.

That tweet sounds manipulative to make us be hooked on Gillovny again and give us hope when there’s no hope to have yet. I thought I wanted her to tweet him but I realize that I’d prefer her to stop teasing him and trolling us and be sincere.

And it seems like it’s the general opinion in the Gillovny fandom that I do not share.

Maybe I’m going to reveal something huge now, but no celebrity is being sincere in Twitter. I think I’ve said that a thousand times, but I will do it again. Gillian and David’s tweets about each other are not for them, they don’t communicate with them, they don’t actually flirt with each other on social media, they don’t reflect the status of their relationship. Never, maybe with the one exception of “especially one of you” which was something else in my opinion.

Those tweets have always been for us, to entertain their fandom and bring fun and joy here. If you feel this one was more manipulative than all the other ones, it is because you’re biased, which I guess is normal after what we’ve been through. But honestly, this fandom (and even myself sometimes, I have to admit it) have always wanted to read more in those tweets than what they actually are. I’ve never thought that “no ramp required” was true and sincere, and I don’t think this one is forced or manipulative. Nothing has changed in those birthday tweets except the vision we have of them.

Question: You filmed another revival of the x-files. Was there no angst of being swallowed up by the madness of it??

answer GA: It was manageable. Instead of dyeing my hair I choose to use a wig this time. It’s only 3 SEASONS (?!). And this time around I know how to manage that all.

@justholdinghandsok maybe you get your s12 after all 😀

@alienbaby-babymama I know 😀

And to all the others asking I have no idea what that all means 😀

If they misunderstood seasons for months it would mean she is off by november…maybe she has other things to film who knows and she could do all filming till then I guess…?!

If not… s12… what?!

I think they misunderstood, she said months and they understood seasons. And I think she was referring to season 10, which was 3 months of filming, because at the time of the interview which was probably the Berlinales, she wouldn’t have revealed if she was going to wear a wig or not for season 11. She wouldn’t have revealed to this paper that there is 3 new seasons coming either. I’d love to, but I don’t think so!

Question: only with one thing in your life you didn’t seem to have a happy hand. Both of your marriages ended in divorce. would you like to try it again ?

Answer: I don’t know. You can never rule it out completely. Weddings can be very beautiful and they give a relationship a special kick. But I’m very happy now and my life feels great. Why should I change that?

@justholdinghandsok

Thank you! <33
